Dear Reader,
The Glitch issue has seen the most overwhelming volume of submissions to Please Hold Magazine yet. I was blown away by the amount of thoughtful work sent to us. Because of this, it was an incredibly selective application process--with an acceptance rate of less than 13%. In addition to a huge amount of work, we also received a wide variety of media. In this issue, you will see more kinds of work than we have published in any issue prior, including a downloadable computer game, experimental audio pieces, and interactive web-based clickable pieces.
As the first fall issue of Please Hold Magazine, Glitch marks the end of our first full year of publications! I am touched by the love we have gotten over the past year. In that time, we've released four issues, hosted four release parties and a film festival, spoken with the ladies of Literature for the Halibut on St. Louis's independent radio station KDHX, presented for a Pecha Kucha Night in St. Louis, chatted with Autumn Rinaldi from OnStl, and tabled at the second annual St. Louis Small Press Expo. I am so proud of how far we have come, and I can't wait to see what our second year has in store!
I hope you enjoy our fourth issue, Glitch.
xoxo,
Kristie
