10/15/2016: Please Hold Magazine had a table at the Third Annual St. Louis Small Press Expo which took place at the Central Library of downtown St. Louis.
7/31/2016: Seventh issue (Summer 2016: Maps) was released online.
5/24/2016: Sixth issue (Spring 2016: Over & Over) was released online.
12/28/2015: Kristie was interviewed on 88.1 KDHX's podcast "Literature for the Halibut" with Nicky Rainey.
12/17/2015: Fifth issue (Winter 2015: Home) was released online.
10/15/2015: Open call for submissions to our fifth issue (Winter 2015: Home) closed with another record-breaking number of total submissions, and the open call for our sixth issue (Spring 2016: Over & Over) opened.
9/30/2015: Fourth issue (Fall 2015: Glitch) was released online and celebrated at Upstairs Lounge 8-10p CST. DJ Past Pleasures provided music. Screens around the venue showed videos by Mariam Eqbal, Nowhere Mountain, and Carlos Pacheco. Two laptops were out: one with the live issue up, the other with Jean-Michel Rolland's videogame Hertzian Labyrinth up, both available for guest interaction.

9/24/2015: Founder & Editor-in-Chief Kristie Wickwire presented on her experience founding and running Please Hold Magazine during Pecha Kucha Night #18 at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. This PK Night was part of STL Design Week.
7/31/3015: Open call for submissions to our fourth issue (Fall 2015: Glitch) closed with a record-breaking number of total submissions, and the open call for our fifth issue (Winter 2015: Home) opened.
6/30/2015: Third issue (Summer 2015: Games) was released online and celebrated at Mangia Italiano 7-9p CST. Guests were encouraged to take printable work by Addoley Dzegede and Emmeline Solomon.

4/28/2015: Second issue (Spring 2015: Feminine Shame) was released online and celebrated at ArtBar 7-9p CST. Poetry readings by Mara Cruvant, Mikkel Snyder, Sara Duff, and Lauren O'Donnell. There were two looping video projections showing work by Catalina Ouyang, Kelsey Brod, Netta Sadovsky, Alexandra Neuman, and Sissy M. Reyes & Jorge Mansilla.

1/12/2015: Deadline to submit to our second issue (Spring 2015: Femininity & Shame) was extended to February 14, 2015.
12/13/2014: First issue (Winter 2014: So It Begins) was released online and celebrated at Foam 6-9p CST. Poetry readings by Katie Kalahan, Hart L'Ecuyer, Lauren O'Donnell, and Catherine Leberg. Live music by Zak Marmalefsky.
12/06/2014: Editor-in-Chief Kristie Wickwire and Assistant Editor Rebecca Tochtrop promoted Please Hold Magazine's upcoming release at the Cherokee Print League Holiday Sale 10a-6p CST at (Blank) Space.

11/15/2014: Autumn Rinaldi's interview with Kristie and Rebecca "Art Outside of the Box" was published on OnStL.
11/7/2014: Please Hold Magazine Kickstarter campaign launched and subsequently selected as a Staff Pick. While we did not reach our goal, we are proud of the effort and intend to try to raise funds to print a physical copy of the magazine again in the future.

10/05/2014: Our staff doubled as Rebecca Tochtrop officially came on board as Assistant Editor.
08/30/2014: Please Hold Magazine organized and hosted its inaugural event: an international short film festival: Somebody's Reality. Event took place at Bar Italia Ristorante 6-8p CST and featured 27 films by artists from around the world. See event recap here.
08/11/2014: Open call for submissions to our inaugural short film festival closed. Film enthusiast and printmaker Rebecca Tochtrop volunteered to aid in coordinating the event.
07/01/2014: Open call for submissions to our first issue opened.

05/05/2014: Kristie Wickwire chose a name for the magazine and began developing the idea and website.
